Excelsus Solutions producing face covering masks to support essential workers in Rochester, N.Y.

Updated: Apr 15, 2020

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 15) -- Excelsus Solutions, a Rochester, N.Y. based printing company, has begun the manufacturing and distribution of face covering masks to support local essential businesses. The large-scale printing plant has repurposed equipment and appointed staff to the manufacturing of masks that have been donated or sold to nursing homes and essential businesses in the Rochester community.

While not FDA approved for medical use, the masks that Excelsus Solutions are manufacturing are made 100% in the U.S.A., with washable cotton fabric, non-woven polypropylene textile and elastic loops--a viable solution for when medical masks are not available. The masks are washable, reusable, and designed to reduce the spread of germs and discourage face-touching. Excelsus Face Masks also come in children's sizing.

Excelsus Solutions has donated masks to local law enforcement, as well as nursing homes that are in need of face coverings to protect some of our community's most vulnerable residents.  "In these trying times, it's important for our company to play a positive role in supporting our essential businesses and residents in the Rochester community," said Mark Laniak, President and CEO of Excelsus Solutions. "Fortunately we are in a position as a company to repurpose our equipment to make face coverings that can be utilized by essential businesses that need to stay open. Our mission at this time is to supplement the supply of protective equipment to businesses so that the valuable N95 masks can be reserved for the doctors and nurses who are fighting this pandemic from the front lines."
